Office Applications
This four month program is designed to teach and give experience in all aspects of office work and the flow of information and work in the office. The student will become proficient in the Microsoft Office applications including Word, Windows, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. The student will be able to use the Internet and email efficiently for researching and communicating. In addition, the student will be introduced to the organization of information in the Management and Administration course and information technolegy through the use of MS Access.
Courses included:
Word and Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Management and Administration, MS Access.

Computer Graphics & Graphic Design

This program prepares the student for a career in computer graphics. The student will study the computer applications necessary for illustration, advertising, page layout and photo-editing.  The student will study the theory of graphic design and will develop a professional level portfolio.  In addition, the student will study prepress graphics management to give the student the technical expertise to be able to master the graphical and technical aspects of computer graphics. This will round out the students’ education so that the student will have a full array of graphic tools at her disposal to meet the challenge of modern-day computer graphics.

Courses included:
Computer Graphics which includes Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, and Print Preparation, and Graphic Design and Portfolio Building.

Website Design
This year program prepares the student for a career as a web-designer. The student will study the foundations of building internet web-sites with HTML and CSS.  In addition, the student will master the industry standard commercial programs including Dreamweaver, Flash and Adobe Fireworks. The course focuses on understanding the underlying technical issues surrounding web-site development.
Courses included:
HTML, CSS, Flash, Dreamweaver,  Adobe Fireworks, and selected programs. Also, current technologies and technical issues.

Advanced Graphics
The advanced graphics program is for students who have completed the Computer Graphics and Graphic Design Program as well as professionals in the field interested in taking their skills to the next level. This program includes “Photoshop Secrets” for advanced Photoshop users, Video Editing with Adobe Premiere, and Advanced Graphics Design and Portfolio Building .
Courses included:
“Photoshop Secrets”, Video Editing with Adobe Premiere, Advanced Graphic Design and Portfolio Building.

Web Programming
This course prepares the student for a career in web programming. The student will learn how to create interactive, data driven web pages using  along with a solid foundation in programming. 

Courses included:
C#,  Database Theory, Object Oriented Programming with C#, .NET with SQL Server, PHP and MySQL.. Note: the specific courses selected may vary from year to year depending on current market conditions.
Current schedule: Monday Tuesday and  Thursday from 9:15- 12:15
Note 1: Students may opt to skip .NET and SQL Server if they are not interested in Microsoft technology (that is, students who are more interested in freelancing privately may choose to study the following: C#, OOP with C#, database theory, PHP and MySQL
Note 2: Students who do not know HTML and CSS may take our intensive 5 day tutorial in it prior to studying PHP and/or .NET
Schedule: 3 x per week for 10 months.
The course is scheduled to begin February 21st and finish in December 2011
Mondays, 9:15-12:15                      PHP & My Sql
Wednesdays 9:15-12:15                 Database Theory, SQL Server and .NET
Thursdays 9:15-12:15                      C# & OOP with C#

Photography
Photography for beginners and intermediate level photographers is open to students with traditional as well as digital cameras. Students will study the fundamentals of photography and the camera with an accomplished photographer and then move on to studio photography and its challenges.

Interior Design
This exciting program prepares the student for a career in interior design. The student will study the history of interior design and the different time periods and their respective designs. also in this program is color, space, understanding the client and how to work within the building environment and its various professionals. Measuring and drafting by hand and on the computer is a major part of the program as well. The student will be required to complete several real world projects during the course. Upon completion of this one year course, the student will be well prepared to take on interior design jobs.

Illustration
This course is designed to go along with graphic design and teaches the student the fundamentals of illustration including perspective, light and shadow and other basics of illustration.

Digital Scrapbooking
In this course, the student will create a digital photo album using photoshop and other special techniques. Digital  scrapbooks are becoming wildly popular as people want to preserve their memories in a more sophisticated way.

Video Editing and Presentations
Video Editing with Adobe Premiere opens wide one of the most exciting careers in creativity. With Adobe Premiere, the student will learn how to capture video to the computer and edit the video and audio, using special effects, removing unwanted portions of the video, and adding transitions between scenes. In addition, the student will study audio including adding background music, improving the quality of the sound and special effects. In addition, the student will learn how to build a project from a conceptual perspective.

Hardware & Technician
This program teaches the student the nuts and bolts of computers. Students will study the hardware necessary to build computers and will study operating systems, concentrating on Windows XP. Students who complete this course will be able to build computers and troubleshoot problems.

Technical Writing
This program introduces you to technical communication and technical writing. You will study common page and book design,  online help, technical reports, basic graphics techniques, user guides, instructions, and more. You will study MS Word from an in depth perspective concentrating on advanced editing skills, FrameMaker, Visio, and/or similar programs.
Courses included: This is an all-in-one course.

Business Information Systems
This exciting program introduces the student to the world of business. Knowledge in business today includes a broad range of activities that support essential business functions. These include: accounting, finance, business law, billing, payrolls, reservations, financial transactions, scheduling of manufacturing activities, creating client databases and more. Computers play a key role in these processes because they can organize, store, retrieve and manipulate large amounts of processes and data efficiently.
